We will collect you from your hotel to go and visit the Hassan II Mosque before departing to Rabat. In Rabat you can visit the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. After lunch we will depart to Meknes to arrive in the early evening.
After breakfast we will take a tour of Meknes including El Hdim square, Bab El Mansour, the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter, the Royal Granaries & the city rampart. We will then depart via Volubilis, the Roman ruins and Moulay Idriss, the holy town. We will continue onto Fes. Dinner and accommodation at a traditional riad.
You will have a guided tour to discover the medina and the famous Souks of Fes – its narrow cobbled streets are filled with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets.. You will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Fes. The tour will include a visit to the tannery and the ceramic cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts.
Depart early from fez you will begin your ascent We pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort in a totally un Moroccan style built by the French in the 1930’s to resemble a Swiss village;we visit the cedars forest in azrou you will see the monkeys , drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. Half way, you will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks, then we continue towards merzouga in the road we will stop in a panoramic views to see the a huge oasis of palm tree we reach to merzouga in the afternoon,diner with Saharan music and over night in traditional Kasbah.
Today we will explore the desert region and the marvel that is the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. We will enjo an off-road driving of the desert where you will have the opportunity to see the nomad’s way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert. We will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. We will have a traditional Berber pizza. In the afternoon we will ride the camels to see the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious mint tea, listen to traditional berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert.
We will wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before making our way back to the hotel/riad for breakfast and a shower. We will go and see the Rissane market and cross the palm lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad to arrive at the Todra Gorge. We will take a walk in the Todra Gorges and have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to our accommodation in the Dades Gorge.
After breakfast we will take a walk in the gorge and then take the off road track to see the nomad caves. We will continue via El Kelaa Magona, Valley of the Roses and the Skoura oasis to arrive early evening in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast we will depart to Ait Benhaddou and visit the World Heritage Site. We will continue with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech.
Today we will have guided tour of Marrakech . You will explore main attractions and monuments of the city including famous Jamma el Fna square , Kotubia mosque , souks, palaces,museums. We explore also new part of the city called Gueliz, gardens Menara and Marjolle.
After Breakfast Transfer to the airport in Marrakech or Casablanca.
